The Canon PowerShot SX10 IS is Canon’s first 20x super zoom digital camera, with a huge 28-560mm equivalent focal length, allowing you to shoot 28mm wide angle landscape shots, to getting very close with the super zoom lens, and high motion photos.
The Canon SX10 IS is a bridge camera between simple point and shoot cameras, and higher end DSLR cameras, offering more advanced features with less bulk, weight and hassle. With a large zoom lens, image stabilizer and face detection, the Canon PowerShot SX10 IS will be great in many different situations.

The Canon PowerShot SX10 IS builds on its S5 predecessor chiefly with that bigger and better lens range, though ease of use has also been improved. The Canon SX10 IS then proves to be a solid and reliable option for both the uninitiated moving up to a bridge model for the first time, and those stepping down momentarily from a DSLR who are looking for a model as a back up, or perhaps to supplement their existing lens range, but in a more portable and user-friendly format.

The Canon PowerShot SX10 IS is a high-end consumer oriented camera that will appeal to amateur nature photographers or anyone else who’s interested in getting close-ups without getting too close. Reminiscent of an SLR in design, the SX10 IS is for those people who want some of the power of an SLR but don’t want to deal with the complexity of changing lenses
