The Philips 47PFL9603D colours are exceedingly rich and bright. Thanks to the new colour control element of the Perfect Pixel HD system, despite being emphatically rich, the colours are also engagingly and natural. The 47PFL9603D is a very clever, gorgeously designed, feature-laden and high performance HDTV, just like all the other sets in Philips’ current 9 Series range. It’s a fine specimen of a premium HDTV.

Gorgeous looking set, with fantastic detail and edge definition. One of the most balanced and natural colour performances around. We’re still very keen on the ’PFL9603D thanks to that exceptional detail and colour balance. Throw in a terrific sonic performance and you’ve got a great premium TV

Despite the dizzying amount of features and functions it carries, the 47PFL9603D is generally straightforward to use. All things considered, the Philips 47PFL9603D is a top drawer HDTV for the price. While it lacks the supreme black levels of a top of the range Pioneer KURO set, its crystal clear picture and ultra-slick motion mean it makes a very viable (and much cheaper) alternative for performance-hungry buyer.
